Dave is the founding partner of VitalChurch Ministry and its interim pastor team leader. Dave has been privileged to see numerous churches transformed through VitalChurch’s revitalization process over the years. Dave lives in New York with his wife, Janet. They’ve been married since June 1980. Together they have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and numerous grandchildren.

Dave loves to be a pastor and enjoys the challenge of working with churches in transition. He is the author of the reTurn Resource Kit published by ChurchSmart. He loves to surf, run marathons, play golf, and read books. He has a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.

VitalChurch is made up of a team of pastors who are called to the unique ministry of helping churches through times of transition or crisis. We do this through a proven, biblically-based, three-step process, with the goal of bringing about real and lasting change in every church we serve.

CCC continues to work through the grief and conflict it experienced with the resignation of their long time pastor. The past seven months have been filled with ongoing attempts to bring a measure of healing and reconciliation among people in the church.
Working as a team, Rich Schoenert and Gregg Caruso, have come alongside to help Dave: Rich is on the preaching team and has worked in the development of evangelism and mission; Gregg Caruso concluded his time at CCC this June after his help with the associate pastor search process, church infrastructure, and small groups.
The church held a Sacred Assembly, an event designed to corporately confess sin and commit to move forward into the future this spring. At the conclusion of the Sacred Assembly, Dave said, “Welcome to the future,” and the church irrupted into applause.
